Interesting Pedigree...

Count Spy

I was perusing the Stud Book and came across this colt from FDL Lodge. He struck an interest with me because of two reasons. The first because his 2-generation pedigree has only PF-based horses in it (the first of the like that I've seen). The second because 5 of the 6 in his pedigree have been either bred or owned by me.

Count Kane was a colt I bred in 2009 out of one of my favorite mares Lady Kay. Inside Scoop was also a 2009 foal by foundation stallion and one of my broodmares. Both Count Kane and Inside Scoop were sold to Finlay of FDL Lodge in a sale/trade agreement 2011. 

Count Kane is out of Lady Kay a mare I purchased as a yearling at my first End of Year Auction at the conclusion of the 2004 Racing Season. Lady Kay is still one of my broodmares who most recently produced the filly Lily's Love (by Tony Montana). 

Inside Scoop is by Handsome Man one of the first horses I owned and my foundation stallion. She is out of the mare Informative that I purchased as a 2 year old at the End of Year Auction. She raced for Hopeful Farm for 3 seasons earning $1.4 million in just 20 starts with 8 wins and 2 track records. She was sold in 2010 to Smokey's Stable. 

I'll be very interested in seeing how this young colt shapes up... but I certainly like the looks of his pedigree.
